About the Game

Where To Root is a tree-based area control game.

The basic mechanics are:

• Trees grow, sprout seeds, drop seeds and disappear
• Seeds travel in a fixed direction and can take root to grow into new trees

The game features quite a bit of randomness. You cannot control where seeds sprout and the direction they move in. However, you can decide which seeds to root and when and where to do so. To achieve your goal you will need a plan, skill, persistence and a bit of luck.

Controls

Use the cursor keys to change the selected seed.

Press to root the selected seed.

Hold while moving the cursor to select trees and seeds on trees, even when there is a moving seed in the given direction. Use this when you need to quickly root a seed after it has been dropped.
